McCarty, who had been diagnosed just a year ago with both pancreatic and prostate cancer, fought valiantly but succumbed to the disease at Munson Hospice House.

He gave it his all to try and beat it… Please know Vic LOVED broadcasting and getting to know all of you. He was happiest when on the air and truly appreciated the love you all showed him over the years.”
